WATER JET CUTTING

Waterjet cutting is a high-tech, environmentally friendly cutting method that uses water and abrasive sand at high pressure and speed to process a wide range of materials and thicknesses. It generates minimal waste and involves no hazardous chemicals or fumes. As a cold process, waterjet cutting avoids the heat that could otherwise deform or damage the material. Our machines cut everything from thin sheet to parts up to 150 mm thick, in materials such as aluminium, titanium, steel plate, stone, glass, plastic and rubber. Waterjet cutting also produces fine cut surfaces, preserves material properties, minimises stresses, and can cut holes ready for threading and reaming.

Unlike laser or plasma cutting, waterjet cutting generates no heat – so there is no heat-affected zone, no hardening and no distortion. The process leaves only water and fine abrasive, keeping waste to a minimum. The same nozzle cuts every material, which makes switching between jobs quick and efficient.
